So far, we've presented to over 200 students in classes ranging from elementary level to college graduate level. GEODES' next big hurdle is paying to file the application for the California State Non-Profit Tax Status. Without this status, we cannot apply for grants, or allow donors to get deductions for what they give. These opportunities are only available to us when we are able to file paperwork with the state.
